Charly Musonda bevestigt zijn toekomstplan na mislukte uitleenbeurt aan Celtic

Celtic kroonde zich kampioen, maar daar had Musonda bijster weinig genot van. Hij kon slechts acht wedstrijden spelen, mede door een schouderblessure. 

In een uitgebreide Instagrampost bedankt hij nu de spelers en staff van zowel Celtic als Chelsea. Hij sluit af met: "Ik zal altijd supporter zijn van Celtic. Ik wil Brendan Rodgers bedanken voor de kansen en dagelijkse raad die hij me gegeven heeft. Nu gaat mijn avontuur verder."

Musonda tekende een huurcontract tot de zomer van 2019, maar zal bij deze terugkeren naar Chelsea. De Londenaars zullen hem binnenkort wellicht uitlenen aan een nieuwe club voor volgend seizoen.

 

As I recover from a collar bone injury, Id like to take the time and reflect on the season, and say a massive thanks to all the staff, at Chelsea Football Club, and the boss Antonio Conte for giving me an opportunity to make my debut at the Bridge, and make a six year awaited dream come true. It only gave me a taste of how hard I’m expected to keep working to make more outings at Stamford Bridge, and therefor I will work. I would like to thank the manager for his guidance and support throughout my two years learning under him, I would like thank all the academy staff and players that helped me make my @premierleague debut and for awarding me with this ball. I would like to congratulate, the youth team for winning a 5th straight FA YOUTH Cup, and will be supporting our team for this week’s final. Last but not least I’d like to thank all of the Celtic family, spending the second half of the season in such a prestigious club with its incredible fans was an experience to cherish, to receive number 67 and have your incredible support, everywhere in Glasgow was amazing, I will never forget the noise of a European night at the Park, and to be a part of it and witness it first hand was an experience that’s made me more hungry for that stage, and that’s thanks to you, and the players that just won the league 7 times in a row, and hopefully a double treble, I will be a supporter of Celtic forever, I’d like to thank Brendan Rodgers for giving me that opportunity and guidance every single day, as I continue on my quest.
